The second Castele Summer Rugby Camp will take place on Monday 27 & Tuesday 28 October 2008 at The Pingle School in Swadlincote. Once again led by ex England Colts and Fylde Rugby Club coach Graham Smith, the camp will take place from 9.30am - 3.30pm for 8 - 15 year olds. Graham will be supported by a number of RFU level coaches during the course of the camp. All coaches are RFU qualified, CRB checked and have attended training in first aid and child protection.
The cost of the course is £20 per day or £35 for both days. Children of all abilities are welcome.
The camp follows on from a successful summer course which included activities to enhance players basic rugby skills and knowledge, including handling, passing, contact, offloading, kicking and decision making skills. Graham Smith (Head Coach) said of the summer camp “The camp was one of the best I have been involved in, in over forty years of rugby coaching, with all students receiving excellent coaching and individual feedback plans from their coaches from the week. The facilities were second to none and the rubber crumb pitch meant we could train and play during the week, whatever the weather!”
