Newbridge Receives Grant from Football Foundation

Grassroots sport in North West Leicestershire received a significant boost today following the news that Newbridge High School Academy Trust have received a grant of £409,265 from the Football Foundation, the country’s largest sports charity.

The funding will allow Newbridge High School Academy Trust to offer the latest state of the art 3rd Generation Artificial Grass Pitch.  It will extend the already excellent sporting facilities available to Newbridge High School Academy Trust’s pupils and it will offer huge benefits to its partner football clubs, other local football clubs and the wider community.

The new 3G AGP will be available to hire to local football, rugby and multi sports organisations.  It will be available in 1/3rds to create 3 x 7 a-side pitches or can host competitive 11 a-side games.  It will be ideal for training, matches and tournaments.
