Successful Projects - Bid Writing
Since 2008, 30 Football Foundation applications have been undertaken. 27 of these have been awarded with a total project cost of nearly £18 million. 3 further applications are currently in the assessment process. All applications submitted today have been awarded full grants ranging from 25% to 90% of the project costs. We have worked on behalf of Local Authorities, Schools, Professional Football Clubs and Amateur Football Clubs. Projects have included the development of 3G artificial grass pitches, changing pavilions and natural turf pitches.
A number of bids have included combined grants with other funding providers including Sport England, local charities and local authorities.
The relationship we have with staff at the FA and Football Foundation ensures that we can deliver their requirements within the identified timescale to ensure a successful bid.
Submissions have been made to Sport England Community Asset Fund, Inspired Facilities Fund, Protecting Playing Fields Fund and Improvement Fund with projects ranging from improvements to drainage on sports facilities to the development of an indoor climbing centre and new leisure facility.
East Staffordshire School Sports Partnership
We were awarded a contract in 2010 to manage the school sports partnership and subsequently deliver the School Games programme in East Staffordshire. This includes working with 62 primary and secondary schools. 38 primary schools now buy into an enhanced programme of support we deliver including CPD, additional competitions, leadership and gifted and talented activities. The schools programme is now coordinated by a dedicated School Sports Officer, employed through Castele Consultancy Ltd.
